1. Once you are in the game, free content can be found first by playing through the game tutorial. The link for that can found by touching the curser to the left border of the Legends of Norrath user window and clicking on the Play icon (Sword and Shield), then click Tutorial. The tutorial presents the game play and rules in small segments of no more than 5 minutes.

2. After completing the tutorial, head on over to the Casual Games lobby for some practice games. This is also accessed through the Play icon on the navigation bar on the left of the screen. The Casual Games lobby is where players go to test and refine deck strategies. When in the Casual Games lobby click on the Create button and select the Practice Game pull down in the Play Format section. In a Practice Game you can use one of the Starter decks to play against other players. There is no limit to how often or how long you play, so play through all the theme decks and get a feel for the style of play that most reflects your gaming style.

For EverQuest and EverQuest II players.

3. If you entered Legends of Norrath through your EverQuest or EverQuest II game, you already have cards to begin playing. Every player in these games has one random Oathbound Digital Starter Deck. Just click on the Casual Games Lounge (found on the Play icon of the Navigation bar.), pick a server and find an open game or, if none are available, start one yourself. In either instance, the play options presented will ask you to select a deck. Just click on the arrow and your deck should be there for you to use and act as the foundation upon which you can build a winning deck strategy.

4. You can also use this deck to play against an A.I. in the single-player campaign, The Fortress Rift. This mode contains three sets of six or more progressively challenging encounters. Your skill in the game can affect the storyline! As you defeat A.I. controlled opponents in matches, you will unravel the plot and change Norrath’s destiny.
